Biography
Artist painter, illustrator, graphic designer. Born in Cracow. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. She defended her diploma at the Faculty of Graphic Arts in Prof. Henryk Tomaszewski's studio. She was engaged in graphic design, mainly book graphics - illustrations for children's books, typographic elaborations of books, covers, etc. She does oil painting. Her works are in private collections in Poland, Sweden, Germany, Norway, USA, and in museums in Tokyo, Bratislava, Brno.
Work, artistic career:
1973-81 chief graphic designer of the Fine Literature Department of the People's Publishing Cooperative,
1981-88 chief graphic designer of KAW Children and Youth Publishers,
1992 - director of advertising and graphic design of KP company,
1993 - artistic and graphic supervision of "Sycyna" magazine.
Since 1958 permanent cooperation with Warsaw literary publishing houses; illustrated about 100 books. In recent years, she is mainly engaged in painting and advertising graphics

1967 Golden Apple at the Biennale of Illustration in Bratislava

1983 Golden Poster at the Bratislava Biennale for illustrations to "The Brothers Grimm's Fairy Tales"

1988 Prime Minister's Award for works for children
1992 Critics' Award at the Brno Biennale for illustrations to "O królewna zaklętej w żabę".
1993 Medal at the Brno Biennale of Graphics for illustrations to "Journey into the Beyond"
2008 IBBY Medal for lifetime achievement in graphic design and book illustration
