Dominika Borys-Prus, born 1993; originally from Bialystok, lives in Torun; graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (2012-2017). She earned her diploma in Painting in Architecture in the studio of Dr. Krzysztof Pituła, Prof. of the Nicolaus Copernicus University, and her supplementary diploma in Easel Painting in the studio of Prof. Piotr Klugowski. She paints abstractions inspired by nature, usually using mixed techniques: acrylic, oil, industrial paints. Often experiments with different painting media in his work. She mainly creates non-geometric abstractions. She is interested in color and organic forms. She often works with thread in her works. In 2017, she received a Scholarship from the Minister of Science and Higher Education. In 2016, she won a Distinction from the Bialystok City Council entitled "Cultural Griffins. "Cultural Griffins," awarded for her lifetime of artistic activity promoting the city of Bialystok.
