Director, screenwriter, designer, ceramicist, painter, author of animated films, television programs and music videos. Graduate of Film Animation and Special Effects at the Cinematography Department of the Leon Schiller National Film, Television and Theater School in Lodz. Former artistic director of the Łódź-based Se-ma-for Film Production Studio, expert of the Polish Film Institute, member of the "Munk studio" Artistic Council. She is the author of, among others, such films as "Faith, Hope and Love" "The City is Flowing" and "The Wizard of U.S. Land", to the creation of which contributed the artist's long stay in the USA. She has received numerous awards, including the Grand Prix of the VII Student Film Review "Łodzią po Wiśle" for "Miasto płynie" and the "Hollywood Eagle Award" for the best animated film at the Polish Film Festival in Los Angeles for "The Wizard of U.S. Land". An artist who realizes herself in many fields of art. Her paintings are in prestigious private collections at home and abroad, including Germany and the USA.
Balbina Bruszewska's paintings are peculiar portals to an instant sense of well-being. Created in a state of joyful elation, they transfer the love of perfection and harmony to paper. The choice of medium refers to the author's fascination and closeness to the cultures of the Far East, where calligraphy techniques are based on similar textures and rawness of the binding. The author's technique used combines features of calligraphy and printing. The pieces are always created in single carefully selected pieces. During the selection process, the overriding value is the uplifting emotion that the painting, as a "living being," communicates on a superconscious level. Communing with the artist's abstract language, one can experience a sense of unification, transcendence or joyful peace.
