The work "Mechanical Registration" was realized in 1976 by me in France in a parking lot in front of a Geant store. I attached two Pentacon six cameras to two shopping baskets and after activating the self-timer, I let the baskets move. Random photos were produced documenting the "life of the parking lot." Among the 12 photos (6 from each camera) you can see my partner (later wife Malgosia Paruzel) and me pushing two baskets. The work was presented at my exhibitions and was included in the catalog of my solo exhibition in 2019 - MCSW Elektrownia in Radom. Photo size 12 x 12 (numbered consecutively on the back). Vintage.

Andrzej Paruzel (Szczecin 1951, lives in Warsaw) - graduate of the University of Warsaw (MA in earth sciences) and the Department of Cinematography and Television Production at the Leon Schiller Film, Television and Theater School in Lodz, Poland. Creator of video installations, films and experimental photography. In the 1970s at the PWSFTViT, together with Tomasz Kolodrubec, Tomasz Konart, Janusz Szczerek and Piotr Weychert, he founded the artistic group Zespół T. He was also a member of the Film Form Workshop. In 1980-1982, together with Małgorzata Paruzel and Piotr Weychert, he led "Koluszki Realizations," a research and artistic-social activity relating to the artistic and pedagogical activities of Władysław Strzemiński and Katarzyna Kobro from the late 1920s and early 1930s. Founder of the Bureau of Art and Culture Guides, under which he ran the magazine "Bureau" from 1988 to 1992, as well as the Art Hotel, a gallery, publishing house and association that conducts artistic and curatorial activities in various places in Europe. From 2004 to 2013, he created the project of the fictional Lens Travel Agency. Co-founder of Profile Foundation, curator of the exhibition "Facing the 20th Century Avant-Garde" at Atlas Sztuki in Lodz (2016).
