Alicja W. Rekowska was born in Włocławek, Poland. In 2014 she graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. She paints her paintings using the oil technique by gilding their surfaces with real flake gold. Thanks to the use of gilding, the works change depending on the lighting, which further distinguishes and enhances the artist's work.Her paintings are full of hidden symbols that enhance their narrative, while provoking the viewer to enter the magical world of the Artist. According to the Artist, the painting is not only to impress with its technique - at the same time it is supposed to raise a lot of questions, stay in the mind of the viewer for a longer time.
