In 1906-18 Alfred Terlecki studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow with L. Wyczółkowski and J. Mehoffer. He exhibited his works in exhibitions in Poland and abroad, including in Moscow, Rome and Odesa. In 1915-19 he was a drawing teacher in Zakopane. His favorite subject of his works were Tatra landscapes, in which the motif of Hala Gąsienicowa is often repeated. He also painted portraits, nudes and interiors. The artist's works can be found, among others, in the National Museums of Warsaw and Cracow, but the largest collection of them is held by the Tatra Museum in Zakopane.
