Wood
A magnificent and large-scale antique carousel horse, masterfully hand-carved from wood and featuring its original-style polychrome finish. The figure is captured in a dynamic "prancing" gallop, characterized by an expressive head with alert ears, flared nostrils, and an open mouth.
The horse is richly decorated with a vibrant green saddle and a detailed harness in contrasting red and blue tones, embellished with carved tassels and geometric motifs. It retains a natural horsehair tail, adding to its authentic period charm. The piece is mounted on a sturdy, vintage brass-tone metal pedestal with a circular base, making it a perfect standalone sculptural element. Height 128 cm, Length 107 cm.
