Hungary Order of The Hero of People's Republic of Hungary 1979

Gold, 31x30mm. Made in state mint. (Pénzverde). Stigmas on the eyelet. Only 5 people were officialy awarded. The medal was established in 1979. The medal is awarded for special merits in protecting the state or for flying into space. Four individuals were awarded the medal: Bertalan Farkas, Valery Kubasov, Leonid Popov and Valery Ryumin.
