A rare medal struck to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the First Partition of Poland.
Issued in Augsburg at the request of the commemorative committee in Lviv.
Copies were struck in silver, bronze, copper, and tin. This specimen is a bronze copy.

Obverse: an open book with the inscription “Pray and Work”; above the book, the motto “GOD BE WITH US”;
Reverse: an oak and thorn branch, with a cross between them; above, the inscription “PAMIĄTKA” and a ribbon bearing the inscription “r.1872,” with a star above the ribbon;
Bronze, diameter 34.5 mm, weight 15.49 g.
