10,000,000 Polish mark banknote , 1923 "WZÓR," Series C,
The banknote features a diagonal“WZÓR” overprint on both sides between two parallel lines and the overprint“Bez wartości” (No value) appearing twice on each side of the banknote; the overprints are in red. The serial number is printed twice on the left side of the banknote: C 123456 and C 789000, with two perforations.
A rare and very attractive piece, confirmed by a solid PMG grading note, though in the case of this piece, in our opinion, the grade is too harsh. On the reverse side, in the lower right corner, the banknote has a faint trace of where it was previously glued into an album, as well as some spots on the margin—which were noted in the description on the slab. This type of design with perforations, due to the technique used to create it, is very difficult to obtain in bank-quality condition; pieces such as the one in this auction are among the best in terms of condition.
